Reaching the River Valley

In Acts 1:8 Jesus commands us to go to Jerusalem.  Our Jerusalem is the Arkansas River Valley in and around Fort Smith, Arkansas.  We have many opportunities coming up this year to reach the River Valley.  If you have questions about any of these, please, feel free to email our Missions Pastor, Scott Ward, at scott@grandfamily.net.  And be sure to always check the City for updates, events, and sign ups (we have an entire group devoted to Missions on the City).

World Changers - June 25-30, 2012 - This huge event is held right here in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Students from all over the Southern US converge on our city for one week to simply show the love of Christ to people in need.  This is an event that uses a lot of volunteers, so we could certainly use your help.  Contact Beverly Turner at bev@grandfamily.net for more information.

Hispanic Outreach - This year we will be partnering with the Concord Baptist Association (a group of Southern Baptist Churches in and around Fort Smith) to start a new Hispanic work in our area.  We are looking at the possibility of hosting Spanish classes at our church for those interested.  Email scott@grandfamily.net for more information about this new ministry.

Comprehensive Personal Evangelism Program - One of our goals this year is to create and implement a personal evangelism program that trains our church membership to reach their "Jerusalems" for Christ.  Be looking in the bulletin and on the City for updates.

Helping Hand - Our Helping Hand ministry is a fantastic way for you to jump right in and begin reaching the River Valley for Christ.  This is an established ministry which sees many people come to know Christ for the first time each year.  For more information about this ministry click here.
