Reaching the River Valley

In Acts 1:8 Jesus commands us to go to Jerusalem.  Our Jerusalem is the Arkansas River Valley in and around Fort Smith, Arkansas.  We have many opportunities coming up this year to reach the River Valley.  If you have questions about any of these, please, feel free to email our Missions Pastor, Scott Ward, at This email address is being protected from spambots. World Changers - June 17-22, 2013 - This huge event is held right here in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Students from all over the Southern US converge on our city for one week to simply show the love of Christ to people in need.  This is an event that uses a lot of volunteers, so we could certainly use your help.  Contact Beverly Turner at This email address is being protected from spambots. Hispanic Outreach - Because of the large population of Hispanics in our area, we feel that God has called us to start a mission to reach these people. We were privileged to host a team from a Baptist Church in Venezuela who came here to do evangelism and help us with our Fall Festival. They are planning to return this year to continue to partner with us in our work with the eventual goal of possibly sending a number of full-time missionaries here. Out of that trip in October, we have started a small women's Bible study that is led by Jhoan Grant. This is a brand new ministry, and we are needing help. We need people that would be willing to learn Spanish and participate in the much-needed mission opportunity in our city.  Email This email address is being protected from spambots. Comprehensive Personal Evangelism Program - One of our goals this year is to create and implement a personal evangelism program that trains our church membership to reach their "Jerusalems" for Christ.  Be looking in the bulletin and on the City for updates.

Helping Hand - Our Helping Hand ministry is a fantastic way for you to jump right in and begin reaching the River Valley for Christ.  This is an established ministry which sees many people come to know Christ for the first time each year.  For more information about this ministry click here.
