Reaching the River Valley, the United States, and the Nations for Jesus Christ.

Reaching the Nations

In Acts 1:8 Jesus commands us to go to the uttermost parts of the world to tell people about Him.  As a church, we have decided to go to some of the darkest places, because that is where the Light is needed most desperately.  Most of these trips are not easy, but that is why these people groups remain unreached.  Please prayerfully consider each of the partnerships listed below.  If you have any questions, please contact our Mission Pastor, Scott Ward at  This email address is being protected from spambots. honduras
Guaimaca, Honduras - This partnership has been going on for more than 12 years now.  Every year in February we send a team or two to Orphanage Emmanuel to do building projects, work with the children, do dental work, and encourage the workers.  In addition to going on the trip each year, many of our members sponsor a child for $35 per month.  During the Christmas holidays, our AWANA program collects gifts for each of the over 500 kids at the Orphanage and ships it to them with the help of Arkansas Best Freight.

This year's trip was in February, but there is always next year or another trip to choose from!  Be sure and join the Honduras Group on the City.

Central Asia - Because of the sensitive nature of this area of the world, we are not able to share much on this website.  You are welcome to request to join the secure Central Asia Group on the City.  If you have any questions about this area please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. We will be taking two trips to this area of the world - May and November.

italy
Padova, Italy - This is a work and partnership that only God could have orchestrated.  Together with the International Mission Board of Brazil, a Baptist Church in Brazil, and a church plant in Treviso, Italy, started by a Brazilian missionary, Grand has planted a church in the town of Padova, Italy.  Padova is a city of over 300,000 people with a small percentage of people whom are evangelicals.  It is also home to a very large university with college students coming from all over the world to attend.  Last year, our team was able to see the launch of a small church that now has over 40 people attending weekly.

We will be taking another team in May 2013.  Be sure and join the Italy Group on the City for updates.

ecuador
Naichap, Ecuador - Russ & Kyleen Bare are our missionaries in Ecuador, long-time friends of many of our members, and a part of our Grand Family.  We have hosted a trip to Ecuador every year for many years now, and we expect to do so into the future.  We have partnered with Russ and Kyleen to reach the Shuar People Group for Christ, an unreached tribe living in the Amazon River Basin.

We will be hosting a trip in April 2013 to help a missionary family there build a jungle house up the river closer to the Shuar villages where they will be able to stay periodically.  Be sure and join the Ecuador Group on the City to keep up-to-date on everything.

colombia
Colombia - Over a year ago, we had a young missionary family come to Grand to look at our mission house.  We found out that they were going to Colombia to serve as missionaries (because of security issues, we cannot publish their names), and they had no church partnering with them.  We felt God calling our church to look at starting a partnership with them and their work.  They are a part of a three-family team trying to reach the indigenous tribes in the Amazon River Basin.

We have now taken a couple of trips there, and we have another planned for the end of May 2013. That trip is already full, but we are working on when the next trip will be soon.  Be sure and request to join the secure Colombia Group on the City for updates.

tanzania
Chome, Tanzania - We have been working in Tanzania among the unreached Pare Tribe for many years now.  We have partnered with a local pastor there, Fanuel Kiroka, who continues to do an amzing job at planting churches and reaching people for Christ.  We will continue this partnership through another year with our next trip being June 17-26, 2013.  Contact Scott Ward at This email address is being protected from spambots.
