Men's Ministry



Our next Iron Man Lunch is coming up on April 4. Be sure and get your ticket now. You can get your ticket in Guest Services on the North Campus or you can purchase them right now through PayPal. Our guest speaker for this lunch will be Michael Newcity, the CFO of Arkansas Best Corporation here in Fort Smith.


Join us every last Friday of the month for our Iron Man’s Inferno Lunch Club. We meet the last Friday of every month at Lewis’ Cafe which is known for its famous INFERNO BURGER. Come at noon and fellowship with a great group of guys. The restaurant is located across from Wal-Mart on 271 South.

About Men at the Grand Family

Here at the Grand Family Church, we emphasize the importance of strong families. Strong families are led by strong men – men who love Jesus and their families. Strong leaders keep watch over those in their charge and do what it takes to protect them.


But men also need to take care of themselves, so that they are able to lead and care for others. Patrick Morley has written extensively about men and men’s ministry. In one of his books, he identifies five things a man can do to keep his life on track:

  1. A consistent quiet time
  2. An organized Bible study
  3. An accountability group
  4. Active church involvement
  5. A personal ministry

If these first four disciplines are followed, men are filled up with a personal relationship with Jesus. The fifth, a personal ministry, comes from the overflow of that relationship. Morley also identifies five responsibilities every man has:

  1. His walk with God
  2. His relationship with his wife
  3. His relationship with his children
  4. His personal finances
  5. His health

We encourage all men to follow the disciplines listed above and to shoulder their responsibility as men. We have materials available to help you with a consistent quiet time, with Bible study, and with developing relationships with your wife and children. We have small group Bible studies that will give you an opportunity to develop deep friendships with other men who can help hold you accountable in key areas of your life.
