For the City
is our initiative to reach Fort Smith and the surrounding River Valley with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Under this banner, we do many different things that you can be involved in, including...

FOR THE CITY DAY - Once or twice per year we will mobilize our members to participate in For the City activities all over our city on one day.

BIBLE STUDY DEPARTMENTS - We believe that everyone should be involved in one of our Bible Study Departments. In each department we have a designated For the City Representative whose job is to lead out in planning and initiating For the City activities.

WELCOMING MINISTRY - This ministry is designed to reach out to the more than 100 international students that attend the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith campus each year. Many of these students will leave the US and go live the rest of their lives in a country where there is a good chance that they will never hear the gospel again. We provide activities designed to help our members build meaningful relationships with these students.

HELPING HAND MINISTRY/CHURCH - This is a ministry that our church has had for years to simply be a help to people in need. We give out food and clothing three nights per week affecting more than 60+ families per week. In conjunction with this ministry, we have started a church to better reach the people that receive help. This church meets on Sunday mornings in the Helping Hand Building.

LOCAL CHURCH PARTNERSHIPS - We currently are partnered with two local churches both of whom started in our facility and have since moved to their own location: Forefront Church and New Beginnings.

INTERNATIONAL CHURCH - We believe that our church should be a reflection of heaven, and in heaven people from every tribe and tongue will worship together.  We are starting by hosting a Spanish-speaking Sunday School class and providing live in-ear translation of the sermon during the worship service.  We will also be hosting ESL Classes.
